New Blog The Scoop Winter

Welcome to my new blog. I decided to start one this year because a lot of people have been asking me if I blog, and until now the answer was, no. I just couldn’t find the time, between planting seeds, watering, transplanting, watering more, weeding, harvesting, making products, writing newsletters, going to Farmer’s market, going to class, making dinner for my husband and kids, cleaning house, etc., etc.—-you get the picture. It just was not going to happen. But now, it is the middle of winter. It is cold and frozen outside. I finally have some time to sit and think. Hear myself breathe. Take a walk. This is why I love the winter, for the down time it gives me. It’s like a breath of fresh air. Some people hate the cold, the snow, and the darkness. Not me. Although winter is not my favorite season (autumn is), I still love it for the beauty it brings with snow, solitude and peace, for the quietness it brings—how it allows me to go inward and connect to myself, to rest, relax and rejuvenate for what lies ahead in the spring. So there it is, my first official blog post. I intend to use this space as an addition to my newsletter, by updating it with new products, features, classes and anything related to herbs, herbal medicine, aromatherapy, gardening, farming and living in the country. Feel free to comment and give me your feedback. Thanks and blessings.
